A selection of works from the Museum permanent collection by Harvey Breverman, Ohio University Alumni (1960), calls attention to Breverman’s mastery of the printmaking medium. Using a wide range of techniques such as lithography, woodcut, intaglio, silkscreen and engraving, Breverman captures personalities of artists (Jim Dine), poets (Alan Ginsberg), writers (Samuel Beckett) and literary critics (Dwight McDonals). This exhibition will connect the artwork as well as the collection of the artist’s papers, personal letters and publications. Artist gallery talk: September 30, 5 – 6 PM. Appalachia! is a national, juried photography exhibition that welcomes artistic, personal, and documentary images of Appalachia. Work that incorporates any photographic process is eligible for submission. Over a period of six years, photographer Chris Payne visited over seventy institutions in thirty states, including the Athens, Ohio State Hospital, creating a haunting yet exquisite visual documentary of the architectural decay and the people who once occupied these buildings. Haunted Hills Ghost Express

7 pm departure. If you love spooky ghost stories, this is the train for you. Learn about the spirits who haunt the area — on board the Haunted Hills Ghost Express train. Passengers will hear hair-raising tales of more than thirteen local ghosts while the train passes near their haunts. From the famed Moonville Tunnel brakeman to the weeping West State angel to the deaf mute whose imprint still remains on the floor of the insane asylum, these are just a few of the supernatural stories that will be told. At the end of this ghastly train ride, you will receive a printed ghost guide that enables you to embark on your own spine-tingling, spirit-hunting adventure in the Hocking Hills area. Many stories are rewriiten and expanded for 2010. Saturday, August 14, September 11 DEPARTS AT 8 P.M., October 10 and 17, 2010 DEPARTS AT 7 P.M. This train lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. (Under 3 yrs. old ride free but must sit on guardian's lap.) Parental discretion is advised. The ride features ghost stories and may be too intense for children. The depot opens two hours prior to departure of the first train. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted on the ride but not served.

1:00 pm State Route 664 South, Logan, OH 43138 Bring along a cool drink and celebrate the season's colors. Meet with the naturalist at the Old Man's Cave Visitor Center for a strenuous hike that spans roughly 6 miles of the Grandma Gatewood trail. We will be traversing the section that runs from Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls and back while enjoying the scenic beauty and cultural personality. Haunted Hills Ghost Express

7 pm departure. If you love spooky ghost stories, this is the train for you. Learn about the spirits who haunt the area — on board the Haunted Hills Ghost Express train. Passengers will hear hair-raising tales of more than thirteen local ghosts while the train passes near their haunts. From the famed Moonville Tunnel brakeman to the weeping West State angel to the deaf mute whose imprint still remains on the floor of the insane asylum, these are just a few of the supernatural stories that will be told. At the end of this ghastly train ride, you will receive a printed ghost guide that enables you to embark on your own spine-tingling, spirit-hunting adventure in the Hocking Hills area. Many stories are rewriiten and expanded for 2010. Saturday, August 14, September 11 DEPARTS AT 8 P.M., October 10 and 17, 2010 DEPARTS AT 7 P.M. This train lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. (Under 3 yrs. old ride free but must sit on guardian's lap.) Parental discretion is advised. The ride features ghost stories and may be too intense for children. The depot opens two hours prior to departure of the first train. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted on the ride but not served.

Harvest Pies Hands On Cooking Class

10:30 am - 1:30 pm. Hands on pie making. Upside-Down Apple Walnut Pie, Silky Chocolate Tart, Pumpkin Turtle Pie, Lemon Chess Pie. We will have soup for our lunch. Limit 8 students. Hands On Style.
